046: Paras

Wow, sweet! I'm loving the Super Mario reference here! This is a pretty great scene, and I like the contrast between the detailed dragon and the toony background, especially how some of the especially cartoonish parts and the sky are coloured in pen. The poof of the coin is awesome.

I'm liking this dragon! Turning the mushrooms into wings was a neat idea, complete with spore-y scales on the tips, and I just adore this dragon's scales. They make its whole body look like the top of a shiitake mushroom. Full of depth. And you've incorporated the rest of paras nicely, with its forehead pattern kept, those mandible-looking tusks, and its eyes, not blue like paras's, but still holding shades of their soft, wide-eyed look. At first I was wondering where paras's claws were, then I noticed the blades on its elbows. That was an awesome idea, and the dragon's got some brilliantly-drawn forefeet as well. The six legs are kind of confusing how they're drawn, but still, I love the idea.

This is a pretty killer dragon. Nice going with paras, DragonLady.
